It's been a month since my last post, sorry about that! I've been under the weather for awhile and I'm finally feeling better. So as I said I would do, here are swatches from the products in my last post.
First things first, nail polishes!
- Zoya PixieDust in Arabella
- Zoya PixieDust in Carter
- Zoya PixieDust in Dhara
Zoya - Arabella
Arabella is more of a metallic than a glitter yet very shimmery
Zoya - Carter
Carter, my favorite from the pixie dusts, is very glittery and shimmery, yet hard to get a picture.
Zoya - Dhara
Dhara is more like Arabella, metallic yet very shimmery. Also, this polish looks like it never dries.
Zoya - Josie
Josie - a grass green cream
OPI - Hey Baby
Hey baby is exactly what it is advertised as, glossy cream
Both polishes have the same shaped glitter and same smaller glitter
Dupes - Julep Paris (Ring Finger) and Sally Hansen Twinkle Toes-ty(Middle Finger)
The only differences are that the julep polish is a little less gold than the Sally Hansen and the Sally Hansen is less dense than the Julep.
Deborah Lippmann - Glitter and Be Gay
This is a really beautiful gold/multicolor glitter. Extremely sparkly, two coats over bare nails. Reminds me of a chest full of gold and jewels.
Deborah Lippmann - Shake Your Money Maker
One coat over black polish. Shake Your Money Maker is a green and yellow glitter with a transparent dark green base. In order to get this polish like Glitter and Be Gay with no base color, you would need about 3-4 coats.
Makeup
MAC Viva Glam Rihanna
Red with barely noticeable gold shimmer.
Matte deep brick red
Matte, plum, and patchy
Matte Black
Matte almost black purple
Creamy light pink
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Blushing Bride and Urban Decay Eye Pencil in Cuff
- I swatched the blush very lightly because that is how lightly I use it, or maybe lighter. Blushing Bride is true to its description of "plummy rose" and although in the pan there is a lot of shimmer, when applied its not that noticeable.
- Cuff, described as a metallic silver shimmer with silver micro-sparkle is also true to its description and does last very long.
